On January 30, 2019, the Technology Association of Georgia’s TransTech Society held a panel discussion at the State Farm headquarters in Atlanta. Entitled, “Trends Impacting Transportation and User Experience- from Individual Drivers to Fleets”, four members of the society were able to answer questions around the future of transit. The panelists included: Scott Reiser of Passio Technologies, Melanie Alavi of UPS, Justin Davis of State Farm, and Ray Peabody of NexTraq. The discussion was moderated by Chad McCloud of Jabian Consulting.

Many topics were discussed, including how each company is currently using the data that they gather, privacy issues, urbanization, the seamlessness and connectivity of the future, and autonomous vehicle regulations. The biggest takeaway from the discussion was that technology is not the inhibitor, it is the answer.
