StreetsBlog USA Showcases Importance of Bus Transit
A recent post by StreetsBlog USA highlighted the importance of offering quality bus transit options to the overall success of transit systems. An analysis of 2018 ridership data by TransitCenter shows that the seven cities with the greatest increases in transit ridership had either expanded or completely overhauled their bus system in recent years.
The cities identified in this study included Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta – who had recently reorganized their systems to increase service. In addition, the cities of San Antonio, Las Vegas, and Pittsburgh had all significantly increased their service since 2013.
